About ZTW
Shenzhen ZTW Model Science & Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the R&D, manufacturing, and sales of brushless electronic speed controllers (ESCs) and propulsion systems for RC models, UAVs, and industrial applications. Since our founding in 2007, we have grown from a small RC hobby workshop into a global ESC manufacturer serving hobbyists, OEM partners, and industrial customers in over 60 countries.
Headquartered in a self-owned 2,500 m² facility in Bao'an, Shenzhen — housing both our engineering offices and production floor — ZTW combines in-house R&D, vertically integrated assembly, and rigorous quality control to deliver brushless power systems that range from 6A micro ESCs for indoor flyers to 300A HV controllers for industrial UAVs and marine propulsion.
We operate two brands: ZTW, our core line covering RC aircraft, helicopters, cars, boats, FPV, and industrial ESCs; and XD Fly, launched in 2023 as our premium brand for discerning pilots and high-end applications.

ZTW's R&D center is the engine of our product development. Our engineering team of 15–20 specialists includes software engineers, hardware engineers, mechanical designers, test engineers, and in-house test pilots — many of whom are active RC pilots themselves. This pilot-to-engineer feedback loop ensures every ESC is tuned for real-world performance, not just bench specifications.
Our technical leadership brings decades of brushless motor control experience and deep expertise in firmware architecture, power electronics, thermal management, and electromagnetic compatibility. Under their direction, ZTW has developed proprietary motor control algorithms, telemetry protocols, and protection systems that are now deployed across millions of ESCs worldwide.

Custom Firmware Development
Our software team develops all ESC firmware in-house, which means we can customize it at the code level for OEM partners — throttle mapping, brake and reverse logic, protection thresholds, telemetry protocols, startup sequences, and even brand-specific sound or LED behavior. Minor parameter changes are fast; full custom control algorithms are within our capability.

Custom Housing, Color & Laser Branding
Choose custom housing colors, laser-engraved logos, private-label packaging, and custom label artwork. For volume partners, we can develop exclusive injection-mold tooling to give your product a unique look and form factor that stands apart from off-the-shelf ESCs.

From Specification to Sample
Share your application requirements — voltage, current, connectors, wire lengths, firmware features, and branding — and our R&D team delivers a proposal followed by functional prototypes in 4–8 weeks. You test, we iterate, and once samples pass your validation, we move to tooling and mass production.

Trusted by Leading RC Brands
Since 2007, ZTW has manufactured ESCs for Hobbyking, Horizon Hobby, Futaba, and other top global RC brands under OEM and confidentiality agreements. We understand brand-level expectations for consistency, packaging, documentation, and on-time delivery.

Flexible Production Partnership
OEM orders start at 1,000 units per model. Exclusive tooling projects may require a one-time design fee, which can be offset against volume commitments. We support mixed shipments, custom carton labeling, and coordination with your designated freight forwarder.

Automated Wire Processing
Our automated soldering and wire-cutting machines deliver consistent solder joints and precise cable lengths on every ESC — from 8AWG power leads on 300A industrial units to 22AWG signal wires on 6A micro ESCs. Automating the wire-to-board connection eliminates the most common source of ESC failure in the field.

Assembly & Configuration
Each ESC is assembled by trained technicians on our Shenzhen production floor, then flashed with firmware and configured to model-specific defaults before testing. Because R&D and production share the same building, an issue flagged on the line reaches an engineer in minutes — not days.

Full-Load Burn-In Testing
Every ZTW ESC undergoes powered burn-in testing under real load before shipment. We run each unit at operating current to verify thermal stability, solder joint integrity, and consistent motor commutation — screening out early-life failures so your customers never see them.

Waterproof & Mechanical Testing
Marine and sealed ESCs undergo immersion and pressure testing to confirm IP-rated sealing. Wire harnesses go through tensile pull testing to validate connector and solder joint strength — critical for boat, underwater thruster, and heavy-lift drone applications.

Flight & Field Validation
Before any new ESC enters mass production, our in-house test pilots validate it in real models — helicopters, 3D aircraft, racing drones, and RC cars — checking throttle linearity, startup behavior, and thermal performance that bench tests alone cannot reveal.

Packaging & Global Shipping
Finished ESCs are packed in anti-static bags with manuals and accessories, barcoded, and stocked in our on-site warehouse for same-week fulfillment to distributors and OEM customers across 60+ countries.

Integrated Engineering Team
Our R&D center combines embedded software, power electronics, mechanical design, and reliability testing in one team. Three software engineers own motor control firmware and app connectivity; three hardware engineers design PCBs and EMC solutions; one mechanical engineer develops housings and thermal systems; two test engineers run validation and compliance.

Designed by People Who Fly
Two dedicated in-house test pilots — both active RC competitors — fly and drive every prototype. Their feedback directly shapes throttle feel, brake response, and protection tuning. This pilot-in-the-loop development is why ZTW ESCs perform differently in the air: they are tuned by enthusiasts, not just lab instruments.

Bench Validation & EMC Lab
Our engineering lab is equipped for oscilloscope waveform analysis, thermal imaging, programmable load testing, and EMC pre-compliance checks. New designs go through repeated bench validation before reaching a flying model, shortening development cycles and ensuring production-ready reliability.

Independent Intellectual Property
ZTW holds 1 invention patent, over 10 utility model patents, and over 10 software copyrights covering motor control algorithms, ESC architecture, and manufacturing processes. In December 2019, we were certified as a Shenzhen High-Tech Enterprise — a designation requiring continuous R&D investment and independently developed IP.

Platform-Based Product Development
The G2 32-bit platform, launched in 2020, unified firmware architecture across our aircraft, car, boat, and drone ESC lines. This shared platform lets us spin up new models and custom OEM variants rapidly while maintaining consistent quality, features, and reliability across the entire range.
